Privacy Policy

What we keep

• Your account: your email, the workspace you belong to, and your sign-in. Your password is kept by our sign-in provider, not in our own tables.
• Your content: ideas, links and sources you bring in (and their transcripts), your chats with Emmy, briefs, scripts, notes, feedback, file links and your brand voice profile.
• Tools you connect: if you connect Google, we read and write only what you ask us to import or export. Melda OS works without it.
• Service records: server logs and error reports that help us keep Melda OS running.

How we use it

We use your information to provide Melda OS to you, to write with Emmy when you ask, to help when you contact us, and to keep the service secure. We do not sell it, we do not use it for advertising, and we do not train AI models on it.

Who else handles it

These services process your information for us, only to provide Melda OS:

• OpenAI: AI model provider.
• Anthropic: AI model provider.
• DeepSeek: AI model provider.
• Z.ai: AI model provider.
• Supabase: Database and sign-in.
• Render: Application hosting and logs.
• Cloudflare: Network and routing.
• Composio: Connections to Google and other tools.
• Google: Connected tools, only if you connect Google.
• Tavily: Web search, when you ask for outside research.
• Supadata: Transcripts of video links you bring in.
• Sentry: Server error reports, with personal details removed.

Each provider keeps data under its own published policy, linked by name above. Requests to AI providers include the text they need, such as your message, ideas, sources and voice profile.

Cookies

Melda OS sets only the cookies it needs: one that keeps you signed in and one that remembers your workspace. There are no advertising or tracking cookies in the app.

Keeping and deleting it

We keep your information while your workspace is open, and some of it remains after the workspace is closed, as described below. Use “Download your data” to export your workspace. On your written request to help@melda.co, we close your workspace immediately and block sign-in. You can ask to reopen it within 14 days.

Our erasure procedure clears chat messages, saved copies of chat text, chat titles, and retained source text, titles and passages. Erased text cannot be restored in the app. Source links and metadata remain, including content fingerprints, counts and where a source came from. Content cards, source documents and generated scripts are not erased by this procedure. It does not delete the workspace record, logs or backups. Files held by other providers, including Google Docs and Sheets, are not erased. Files in your own Google account are untouched. Other providers keep data under their own published policies, linked above.

Your choices

You can request access to your information, an export, correction or deletion by emailing help@melda.co. You also have any other rights the laws that apply to you give you. Workspace owners can export using “Download your data”. You must be at least 18 to use Melda OS.

Changes

If we change this policy in a way that matters, we will email you before the change applies.
